Farms going up?

I read a review this morning for “The Verticle Farm,” a book that said the farms of the future are verticle — skyscrapers of food production. Sounds like a cool concept, but some critics say it’s unrealistic. These farm buildings could serve as a useful tool in breathing life into urban decay and providing jobs for those that work in them.
